RoomMatch uses a Supabase cloud database for signed-in accounts. Your profile, preferences, connections, blocks, reports and messages can be stored online and linked to your account.
Signed-in account data is stored in RoomMatch’s Supabase project in the EU region.
A photo and gender are not required. Gender is private by default.
You can download your account data or permanently delete your account from this page.
Signed-in use: account and product data is sent to RoomMatch’s Supabase project, currently hosted in the West EU (Ireland) region. Supabase also handles one-time sign-in codes. When enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile processes the limited signals needed for the account bot-protection check.
Access: database security rules restrict private information to the relevant signed-in account. Safety reports are not shown to the person being reported.
Information: Name, age and 18+ confirmation, university, study, optional photo, optional gender, and any student-verification request you submit.
Purpose: To create your profile, show relevant information, and keep the service adults-only.
Information: Budget, city, campus, move-in date, household size, habits, interests and matching priorities.
Purpose: To filter profiles and calculate an explainable compatibility score.
Information: Connection requests, ignored and blocked profiles, messages, and account timestamps.
Purpose: To remember your choices, deliver messages, protect accounts, and operate the service.
Information: The person reported, report reason, optional details, status, and submission time.
Purpose: To investigate abuse, scams and rule-breaking. Reports should be visible only to authorised safety staff.
Information: Limited browser, device and network signals processed by Cloudflare Turnstile when the account security check is active.
Purpose: To distinguish genuine account and sign-in requests from automated abuse. Turnstile does not receive the contents of your RoomMatch form through this integration.
Information: Page visits and basic browser or device information collected by Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics.
Purpose: To understand which public pages and features are useful. RoomMatch disables Google advertising signals and does not send your profile fields or email address.

These controls apply only to local information saved in this browser. They do not change your signed-in cloud account.
RoomMatch does not sell personal profiles. If aggregated research is introduced later, it will not expose individual people, and this notice will be updated before that processing begins.
Account data remains while your account is active unless a shorter period applies. Completed safety reports, verification reviews, appeals and inactive account actions are scheduled for deletion after 365 days; limited moderation audit history is scheduled for deletion after 730 days. Account deletion removes your sign-in and associated product data, although submitted safety reports may remain without your account identifier until their retention period ends. Backup copies may persist temporarily until the provider’s backup cycle expires.
